The Core Privacy Promise: Remitly Hub is strictly a client-side utility. No financial statements, transaction records, recipient names, bank account numbers, or monetary values ever leave your local computer. All parsing, categorization, and visualization take place entirely in your browser's local memory.
Unlike standard fintech SaaS applications, Remitly Hub has zero back-end database for user data:
When you select or drop a Remitly CSV export into Remitly Hub:
FileReader API reads the raw byte stream into volatile JavaScript memory (RAM).To understand aggregate platform usage, we use standard, privacy-preserving Google Analytics for anonymous session telemetry (e.g., page views and feature usage flags like whether a statement modal was opened). This telemetry never captures, samples, or inspects any file contents, transaction rows, recipient names, or financial parameters.
Remitly Hub may utilize your browser's localStorage solely to remember UI display preferences (such as light or dark theme mode). You can clear this at any time via your browser settings or Developer Tools.
You do not have to take our word for it. You can disconnect your device from the internet (airplane mode) after opening Remitly Hub and load your CSV files—the entire tool continues to function identically without an active internet connection. You can also inspect the full source code on GitHub.
